Join Tom Espinoza and the Raza Development Fund as we welcome a friend and policy leader, Charles Kamasaki, author of “Immigration Reform: The Corpse That Will Not Die”. Hear from Charles himself as he tells us about everything that went into a storytelling of an historic era in US immigration reform policymaking and how this vital history pertains to breaking the current impasse on immigration policy today.
Charles represented the National Council of La Raza on Capitol Hill when Congress debated and passed the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986, enabling three million people to adjust their immigration status and lawfully remain in the U.S.
